Newsome Expands Senior Workforce to Support Continued Growth

As demand for both our hire and capital solutions continues to grow, we’re pleased to announce the expansion of our senior workforce with three key appointments that will further strengthen our capacity, customer support and project delivery.

Welcoming Experience and Energy

We’re delighted to welcome Ian Whitehead as Projects Manager, Jack Seddon as Internal Sales Engineer, and Louie Platts as Rental Sales Engineer to the Newsome team. These appointments reflect our ongoing investment in both people and infrastructure, ensuring we continue to offer the high level of support our clients expect across a wide range of industries, including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, plastics, and manufacturing.

Ian Whitehead – Projects Manager

Ian brings with him decades of experience in managing complex engineering projects, with a strong background in HVAC system design and process cooling. In his new role as Projects Manager, Ian will be leading key installations across the UK, ensuring each project is delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standards of quality and compliance. Ian’s appointment supports our growing portfolio of turnkey HVAC, chiller and dehumidification projects, where his depth of experience will play a key role in planning, coordination and successful handover to clients.

Jack Seddon – Internal Sales Engineer

With a solid technical foundation and a customer-focused mindset, Jack Seddon joins our internal team to provide engineering support, product specification, and proposal development. Jack will work closely with both our external sales engineers and operational teams to ensure customers receive fast, accurate, and informed responses to their enquiries. As we continue to grow our footprint across sectors such as food production and industrial manufacturing, Jack’s appointment ensures we maintain the responsiveness and technical clarity that Newsome is known for.

Louie Platts – Rental Sales Engineer

The cooling and HVAC hire market remains a key area of growth for Newsome, and we’re pleased to introduce Louie Platts as our new Rental Sales Engineer. Louie joins with a strong background in client service and technical hire solutions and will focus on supporting customers with urgent, short-term, and planned hire needs for portable chillers, air conditioning units, industrial dehumidifiers, and complete HVAC systems.

Working across the UK, Louie will help ensure businesses remain operational and compliant, especially during critical periods such as summer heatwaves, production shutdowns, or emergency outages.
